If you have a successful version of PD10 and Win 7 64 bit running, can you tell me where the downloaded particle effects are being stored on your directory that PD10 finds and uses please? If I copy a PIP folder effect from the downloaded effects area into one of the the Content Pack folder\Particle Objects folder, I find it in the particle effects library and it works fine. For me, there are two of them:Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10\PowerDirector 10 Content Pack I\ParticleObjectĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberlink\templates\PowerDirector Content Pack 10\PowerDirector 10 Content Pack II\ParticleObject The particle effects that show up in my Power Director 10 libraries are in a different folder. All of the particle effects loaded to the downloaded effects folder are not available for me to use and are thus missing in the particle effects library. The trouble is Power Director 10 (at least mine) doesn't look in this area. I can open the PIP folder and see all of the thumbnail pictures that make up the effect. The next downloaded and installed particle effect will be PIP002 and so forth. For example PIP001 might contain all of the details for fatasie. There is one PIP folder created for the particle effect installed. When I double click on it, it creates a PIP folder in C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\Downloaded Effects\Particle Effects. Mine are going to an F: drive under Users>administration>downloads. If you're an experienced filmmaker, you should likely look elsewhere, but those who are just starting to make and share high-quality movies may want to give PowerDirector a try. When you download a particle effect, it creates a. It provides a solid feature set that, in the subscription-based version of the program, is backed up by stock assets, templates, and effects that can make your movies look good with minimal effort.
